About the organisers
IT4Arts is the cultural team of The Information Technologists’ Company, a City of London Livery Company, which carries out charitable work for over seventy non-profit arts organisations and runs quarterly workshops. IT4Arts combines a rounded understanding of the arts with its team members’ long and professional knowledge of all things digital. OpenMute brings it experience of the experimental digital scene to the panels and its knowledge of how early adopter cultural organisations have made pioneered steps with digital communications. OpenMute has run tours, workshops and research projects around a variety of free culture favourites. A few example projects are ‘UserLand’ a tour of ten UK arts venues with Open Source artists, to more recent digital print-on-demand book research.
