New AoDL Monthly Meetups

We are please to announce that following up on the AoDL Digital Salon and Surgeries series Openmute will be co-organising a set of monthly events in partnership with The Photographers’ Gallery.

These events are open to all those interested in bridging the gap between the arts and tech communities and exploring new ways to implement digital techs in creative processes. They are intended to be informal discussion groups where London arts administrators and producers, business and media consultants, developers, innovators and funders can come together to discuss the current relationship that exists between arts and technology communities and the tools used in the creation, production, distribution and marketing ofartistic programmes.

During the past year we have mapped out a set topics and concerns within digital strategy that came to light during the digital salons such as;

Digital archiving / Open archiving, Videos shorts, IPTV / Youview, Sound / Music, Broadcasting, Copyright / Licensing, Literature online, Print on demand / ePublishing , Collaborative platforms, Locative media, Gaming, Mobile / apps, and Analytics

We hope to continue to develop upon these, building a comprehensive picture of the current environment as well as increasing awareness amongst the group of the possibilities for the creative implementation of newdigital tools in the production of new works.
